IS A NEW DAY DAWNING SOON?
Right besides our home is a massive umbrella tree.I have unconsciously developed a habit of gazing at it every evening. Just before curfew, which starts at 7: 00pm everyday, the birds that reside there retire for the night. I wonder how far they could have wandered throughout the day! I become envious of their freedom. The curfew and quarantine restrictions get to them not. They wander off each morning searching for food, as I am stuck at home as well as a million more people around the world. The usually busy lane in my neighborhood is dead silent. All the shops are closed, and everyone inside their houses. The silence is so deep that you can hear a pin fall. One dares not to move out after the curfew for one's own shadow can be frightening. What are the souls behind those closed doors thinking? Have they even had a meal for the day We are in a total lockdown. It's called the COVID-19 National pandemic lockdown.
